Econadin oil absorbent (derived from “Ecological Hope”) is a unique, environmentally friendly oil biosorbent designed for rapid and efficient cleanup of oil spills on both water and land.
Natural Econadin oil absorbent is made from high-moor sphagnum peat enriched with specially selected avirulent oil-oxidising bacteria for effective oil hydrocarbon degradation.
Thanks to its high absorption capacity and biodegradability, biosorbent ECONADIN not only captures hydrocarbons but also breaks them down into safe by-products — water (H₂O) and carbon dioxide (CO₂).
ECONADIN oil absorbent offer a modern solution for localisation and elimination of oil spills as well as for cleaning up organic oils and chemically hazardous substances in ports, industrial zones, water bodies, and environmentally sensitive areas.
- Quick elimination of oil spills, oil petroleum products, gas condensate on water surfaces (in port and shipyard waters, open sea, rivers with slow or fast currents, backwaters, lakes, ponds, estuaries), especially in areas inaccessible to mechanical oil recovery methods—such as blind pockets of berths, under-berth gaps, flooded zones, swamps, and similar locations.
- Cleanup of coastlines contaminated with oil products due to accidental spills, including recreational areas such as beaches.
- Use of industrial oil absorbents for the removal of oil pollution from bottom sediments.
- Deep treatment of oil-contaminated wastewater.
- Application at oil production and refining facilities for cleaning and neutralizing liquid and solid waste from oil-containing wells and oil sludge.
- Bio-Remediation of oil-contaminated soil.
- Elimination of oil pollution from various surfaces (metal, concrete, asphalt) and during technological spills involving water, rail, road, and air transport.
- Our innovative oil absorbent products are also used at metalworking enterprises, boiler houses, and thermal power plants—essentially, at any facility where oil and petroleum products (gasoline, fuel oil, diesel, motor oils, etc.) are in use.
- And also for capturing vapors from volatile and combustible hydrocarbons.
- Marine industry – in port and shipyard waters, open sea, rivers with slow or fast currents, backwaters, lakes, ponds, estuaries — especially for eliminating oil pollution in areas inaccessible to mechanical collection methods (e.g., blind pockets of berths, under-berth spaces, flooded zones, swamps, etc.);
- Oil and gas industry – at oil production and refining facilities for cleaning and neutralizing oily liquid and solid waste from boreholes, including oil sludge;
- Chemical industry – where biodegradable oil absorbents are often required for environmental safety;
- Industrial enterprises and factories – at metalworking facilities, boiler houses, and thermal power plants — essentially at any site where oil and petroleum products (gasoline, fuel oil, diesel, motor oils, etc.) are used;
- Airports and railway companies – for managing fuel-related spills and environmental compliance;
- Transport companies, gas stations, petroleum stations and service stations – where routine maintenance, fueling or emergencies may cause oil leaks or spills;
- As well as many other facilities that require reliable oil spill response solutions.
